Reports Cite 57 Crumbl Cookies Closures and 55 Franchises for Sale

Champaign Urbana & Springfield Decatur, IL, October 15, 2026 —

At least 57 Crumbl Cookies locations have reportedly closed this year, while 55 franchises have been listed for sale, according to the trend summary. The reports point to changes across the nationwide cookie chain even as the company continues to operate more than 1,000 locations.

The reported closures and franchise listings coincide with declining sales volumes and the earlier departure of Crumbl’s co-founders. The information provided does not establish that any one of these developments caused the others. It also does not specify the sales figures, the period over which sales declined, or when the co-founders left.

The reported figures offer a partial picture of the company’s footprint: at least 57 closures have been reported, and 55 franchise businesses are listed for sale, while the chain’s overall location count remains above 1,000. The information does not identify the affected locations, say how many listings have resulted in completed sales, or clarify whether the closure count covers a particular point in the year.

Further details about the reports’ sources and methodology were not provided. The names of the co-founders and the timing of their departures were also not specified. Without those details, the scale and timing of the changes cannot be assessed beyond the figures reported in the summary.

The available information therefore describes a combination of reported closures, franchise listings and declining sales volumes, alongside a large remaining store network. It does not provide company statements, explanations from franchise owners, or a breakdown of the trend by region.
